King Of The What?

Did you ever play the "king of the mountain" game as a kid? The goal was to push everyone else down so you could get to the top of the dirt hill and defend it. King Of The List is kind of the same idea, though slightly more productive than pushing a kid off a slide. Promotion and linkage is the game here. Have a new website? Have an old website? Why did we build King Of The List?

King Of The List is a great way to find new websites and at the same time helps improve reach and traffic for those sites. A link remains on the site permanently after being added (unless removed by the owner, of course). Links aren't run through filters or redirects like with normal ads online; we know every link counts, and we link directly to your site.

Want to battle with your own links?

Posting your links here is generally a cheaper investment than buying a link ad somewhere, frequently more effective, and can be as permanent as you like. The major advantage is that you move your link into the spotlight at any time.

It's really easy to add your own links to the list. All you have to do is create an account so you can manage your links. From there you can create a new link and buy a crown for it, or even stock up on crowns while you're at it. Get Started! »

Crowns cost as low as $4 each because we believe that even paying a small amount for including a link will help encourage you, the writer, to write the most effective copy possible. Charging for this service also helps weed out the spam and other junk links so your links are taken more seriously, and so we can devote more time to improving this system, on top of paying the bills.

A portion of crown purchases are donated each month to our favorite cause, Room To Read, an organization which partners with local communities throughout the developing world to establish schools, libraries, language programs, computer rooms and other empowering efforts. They believe that "world change starts with educated children" and we couldn't agree more.

What is this Version Black & White thing?

You could call it a beta, or a test version. You'd probably be right. The new design and next bundle of features will be up shortly.

What do we need from you? Well, since this thing is so relatively new, we need you to tear it up and provide feedback so we can continue to make King Of The List better.

What's the plan?

The Black & White version, initially built in only a weekend, is just the tip of the iceberg. We're now working on the next updates which will include a slew of new features such as search, additional syndication options, a pretty ingenious affiliate system and quite a bit more. The sooner you add your links to King Of The List, the better.
