1. What, exactly, makes 52tease.com different from other t-shirt sites? (You mean, other than the fact that we are just the super-coolest t-shirt site online?)

Seriously, 52tease.com operates by leveraging the power and speed of the internet to disburse information. Trends, fashions, jokes, and styles are constantly changing. In an effort to stay at the forefront of these changes, 52tease.com creates a new design every week of the year (that’s where the ‘52’ in our name comes from).

After the first week of production we have two major options ahead of us. Either the idea gets trashed and won’t be available from 52tease.com again or we raise the price of the product enough to make those who saw and bought it the first week really happy that they did. This means that you have to check back every week (or sign up for the newsletter) to make sure you don’t miss a new idea and get the cheapest possible price.

2. How do you decide which designs you keep? Oh, so you expect some sort of scientific process? Heheh. Well, that doesn’t really happen at 52tease.com and that is part of what makes the process so interesting. Sometimes we will junk an idea after a week because we think it really sucked. Other times we will get rid of the products, even if they are selling like hotcakes (which, I hear, sell really well. Why aren’t we selling hotcakes?), just because we want to.

3. If I like the design but don’t see it on the product I want, what should I do? We are happy to add our designs to any of the products you have seen at cafepress even if we didn’t include it in our original run. Please click here to head over to our super-easy online order form. Generally, it only takes two or three days from the time we receive your request to your first sample product and you are never under a commitment to buy.

4. Will you make a product with my design? Of course we will. Even if you only have the idea and don’t know how to make the design yourself, we would like to produce it for you. 5. Who are you? How did 52tease.com get started? Well…since you asked.

Currently, although we often speak in the ‘royal we’, 52tease.com is just me. I’m a late twenty-something entrepreneur with not much to show for it (to be honest, and my family/friends can vouch for this, I am much more of an idea man than someone with follow-through).

I have been a waiter, gas-jockey, florist, video-game retailer, apple-picker, migrant worker, English teacher (to American and Japanese students), world traveler, and otherwise congenial person (I still am).

While on our last road trip, I thought of the idea of creating a new shirt every day. When my life-love pointed out the amount of work and infeasibility of the project I decided, instead, to create a new design every week. Is it different? Yes. Will it work? Well, are you interested in buying any of our products? Do you expect to make a living off of this? Possibly. Again, though, that is up to you. What do you think?
